Be prepared to be lost in Seoul with its complicated metro system with a few unforgettable musical announcements signalling station transfer and directions. It is voted as the world’s best subway systems by CNN. The piece features a melody played by the Erhu taken from the original metro announcement signalling arrival at a transfer station. The middle section bell tune is also a snippet of the original metro announcement, signalling the outer-circle and north-bound trains’ arrival. This track blends the traditional Korean instrument with the heavy synths heard in most of K-pop’s music.
